About Kingfisher Plc
Kingfisher began life as Woolworth Holdings back in 1982, as a parent company for Woolworths, B&Q and Woolworths Properties. The group acquired the electricals chain Comet and health retailer Superdrug in the 1980’s before changing its name to Kingfisher in 1989. The group has rapidly expanded, acquiring retailers all over the world, but in 1999 its plan to buy supermarket group Asda was thwarted by US giant Wal-Mart. In 2003 the group demerged its electrical & furniture arms to form Kesa Electricals.

The Kingfisher Board has proposed a final dividend per share of 8.60p (FY 21/22 final dividend: 8.60p), resulting in a proposed total dividend per share of 12.40p in respect of FY 22/23 (FY 21/22: 12.40p). The final dividend is subject to the approval of shareholders at the Annual General Meeting on 27 June 2023.

Based on the strong performance to date and the outlook for the rest of the year, the Kingfisher PLC Board has declared an interim dividend of 3.80 pence per share, up 38% on the H1 20/21 interim dividend of 2.75 pence per share.
Kingfisher announce dividend payments resumed with a proposed total dividend per share of 8.25p for FY 20/21
The Kingfisher Board have confirm that they will be resuming dividend payments beginning with a proposed total dividend of 8.25 pence per share (approximately £175 million) in respect of the year ended 31 January 2021. The proposed dividend of 8.25 pence per share comprises an interim dividend of 2.75 pence per share in respect of the six months ended 31 July 2020 and a final dividend of 5.50 pence per share. The final dividend is subject to the approval of shareholders at the Annual General Meeting on 30 June 2021, and will be paid alongside the interim dividend on 5 July 2021 to shareholders on the register at close of business on 4 June 2021.
Kingfisher maintains an interim dividend of 3.33p per share
The Kingfisher Board has declared an interim dividend of 3.33p, flat on last year (2018/19: 3.33p). They continue to be comfortable with medium term dividend cover in the range of 2.0 to 2.5 times based on adjusted basic earnings per share, a level the Board believes is prudent and consistent with the capital needs of the business.
