The Headlam Group Plc has proposed a final ordinary dividend of 6.0 pence per share
The Headlam Group Plc has proposed a final ordinary dividend of 6.0 pence per share (2022: final ordinary dividend 11.2 pence per share). If approved by shareholders at the 2024 AGM to be held on 23 May 2024, it will be payable on 7 June 2024 to shareholders on the register as at 10 May 2024 and is expected to be a cash outflow of £4.8 million.

Headlam Group plc is declaring an interim ordinary dividend of 4.0 pence per share (2022: 6.2 pence interim ordinary dividend), representing a dividend cover of 1.5x compared to underlying basic earnings per share. The Group intends to retain this lower level of cover through 2023 and 2024, and then re-evaluate with a view to potentially building back to 2.0x cover as the market and Group earnings improve.

The Headlam Board is proposing a 2022 final ordinary dividend of 11.2 pence per share (2021: 8.6 pence per share), subject to shareholder approval at the forthcoming AGM in May 2023 with the timetable given in the Financial Review. The final dividend combined with the 2022 interim ordinary dividend of 6.2 pence per share gives a total pay out of 17.4 pence per share in respect of the 2022 financial year, which is in line with the Company's targeted cover ratio of around 2x earnings.

Headlam Group PLC are proposing a 2021 final ordinary dividend of 8.6 pence per share for approval at May's Annual General Meeting ('AGM'), giving a total annual pay-out for the interim plus final of 14.4 pence, being equivalent to a 2x earnings cover ratio and in line with the Company's published Capital Allocation Priorities, with the 2.0 pence nominal dividend being an additional payment on top.

In-line with the Headlam Group Board's previously stated intention to maintain the 2019 full year dividend with that of 2018, the Board has proposed a final ordinary dividend of 17.45 pence per share (2018: 17.45 pence per share) bringing the total ordinary dividend declared and proposed in respect of 2019 to a maintained 25.0 pence per share (2018: 25.0 pence per share). If approved by shareholders at the forthcoming AGM in May 2020, the final ordinary dividend will be payable on 1 July 2020 to shareholders on the register as at 5 June 2020.
