The Persimmon plc Board proposes a final dividend of 40p per share, payable on 11 July 2025 to shareholders on the register at 20 June 2025, following shareholder approval at the AGM. This dividend, combined with the interim dividend of 20p per share paid in November 2024, totals 60p per share for the 2024 financial year.

The Persimmon plc Board has declared an interim dividend of 20p per share, which will be payable on 8 November 2024, to shareholders on the register on 18 October 2024. The Board's intention is, as a minimum, to maintain the 2023 dividend of 60p per share, with a view to growing this over time.
Persimmon plc announce a final dividend of 40p per share
For 2023, the Persimmon Board proposes a final dividend of 40p per share to be paid on 12 July 2024 to shareholders on the register on 21 June 2024, following shareholder approval at the AGM. This dividend is in addition to the interim dividend of 20p per share paid on 3 November 2023 to shareholders on the register at 13 October 2023 to give a total dividend of 60p in respect of financial year 2023 (2022: 60p).

For 2023, the Persimmon Board has declared an interim dividend of 20p per share, which will be payable on 3 November, to shareholders on the register on 13 October. The Board's intention is to maintain the 2022 dividend of 60p per share, with a view to growing this over time.

Persimmon announces dividends of 40p (£127.5m) and 70p (£223.2m) per share paid on 14 September and 14 December 2020 respectively
The Persimmon Directors propose to return 125 pence of surplus capital to shareholders for each ordinary share held on the register on 12 March 2021 with payment made on 26 March 2021 as an interim dividend in respect of the financial year ended 31 December 2020. The Directors propose two further additional distributions relating to surplus capital returns of 55 pence per share each as interim dividends with respect to the financial year ended 31 December 2020. These distributions to shareholders are anticipated to be made in August 2021 and in December 2021. Both additional distributions of surplus capital will be subject to continuous Board assessment. The total anticipated distributions to shareholders is therefore 235 pence per share (2019: 110 pence per share) in respect of the financial year ended 31 December 2020.
Perisimmon announces dividend of 40p per share
With the major social and economic disruption resulting from the action taken to mitigate the onset of the Covid-19 pandemic, after careful assessment of the capital needs of the business, the Perisimmon Board concluded that the return of surplus capital by way of a 125p per share interim dividend previously scheduled to be paid to shareholders on 2 April 2020 would be cancelled. In addition, the Board postponed the payment of the final dividend for the 2019 financial year of 110p per share that was previously scheduled to be paid on 6 July 2020. This preserved the Company's ability to re-invest this capital in the business should appropriate opportunities arise, generating enhanced value over the longer term in the best long-term interests of all stakeholders. The Board has now announced a dividend of 40p per share.
Persimmon announce interim and final dividends of £1.25 and £1.10 per share respectively declared for 2019 to be paid in 2020
The Persimmon Directors have proposed to return 125 pence of surplus capital to shareholders for each ordinary share held on 6 March 2020 with payment made on 2 April 2020 as an interim dividend in respect of the financial year ended 31 December 2019.
Persimmon increases its Capital return plan
Given the strong progress the Group has made, the Board announced an acceleration of, and an increase to, the Capital Return Plan on 23 February 2016. Minimising financial risk and retaining flexibility for reinvestment in the business remain key priorities. The Board is of the firm belief that the prioritisation of capital discipline through the housing cycle is critical to the successful delivery of sustainable, superior shareholder value and, therefore, maintained the original long term Capital Return Plan period commitment to 2021.
