DividendMax Model Portfolio 2015

Having outperformed the market dramatically in each of the years 2012, 2013 and 2014, we present our 2015 model portfolio. The portfolio will deliberately avoid companies with a heavy dependence upon Europe in the first 6 months and depending upon the result and fallout following the general election, we will revamp the portfolio at the half yearly stage.

The second half of last year saw some great successes with MAN Group leading the pack with an increase over the 6 months of 43.56%. Next came Easyjet with 33.47%, Moneysupermarket (24.41%), Sage (24.19%), Chemring (19.5%) and Vodafone (17.18%) Bad half years were registered by Admiral, Standard Chartered, Sainsbury, Amec and BP.

We will retain our strategy of picking 20 stocks with an equal weighting of 5%.

Half year updates and changes.

The DividendMax model portfolio finished the half year up 6.33% (8.56% including dividends)

In the same period the FTSE 100 has gone from 6547 to 6558, virtually unchanged.

The FTSE all share has risen from 3524 to 3595, up 2% on the year.

The top 5 performers from the 20 in the portfolio in the half year to date are Saga (up 40.30%), Talktalk (up 26.21%), Bellway (up 24.39%), Rexam (up 22.19%) and Sky (up 17.35%)

We sold the entire portfolio at the half year stage.
