The Scottish Oriental Smaller Companies Trust plc is a United Kingdom-based investment company. The investment objective of the Company is to achieve long-term capital growth by investing mainly in smaller Asian quoted companies. It invests mainly in the shares of smaller Asian quoted companies. Its investments in various regions includes Australasia, China, Hong Kong, India, Indonesia, Japan, Malaysia, Pakistan, Philippines, Singapore, South Korea, Sri Lanka, Taiwan, Thailand and Vietnam. The Company invests no more than 15% of its gross assets in other listed investment companies (including listed investment trusts). The Company invests no more than 15% of its total assets in the securities of any one company or group of companies at the time of investment.
