The FTSE 100 has a fairly good week and is up over 50 points as politics continues to dominate with defeats in the commons for the Prime Minister leading to the pound rising a couple of cents against the dollar and 6 cents against the Euro since the 6th August lowpoint.
The past week saw a moderate level of activity from a reporting perspective.
The week ahead is mainly quiet, although Tuesday is very busy.
Going ex dividend this coming Thursday with yields of 2% or more we have Belvoir (2.8%), Costain (2.6%) and Highland Gold with 2%.

The FTSE 100 has risen 90 points in the shortened week which has been quiet from a reporting perspective. Political woes in the UK continue and pound remains weak on the back of this; boosting big dollar earners in the FTSE 100 and elsewhere.
