What is Market Cap?

Market Cap is short for Market Capitalisation. This is the measure of the value of a company based on mutliplying the total number of shares in issue by the share price.

The Market Capitalisation is the value of the company at a point in time and will vary from minute to minute during trading hours.

Our investment tools reveal that we have around 50 U.K. blue chip stocks with a market cap in excess of £5 Billion and around 30 stocks with a market cap in excess of £10 billion.
