About Helia Group Ltd

Helia Group Limited is an Australia-based company that provides lenders mortgage insurance (LMI) in Australia. The Company’s LMI protects lenders if a borrower defaults on a home loan and there is a shortfall in the sale proceeds from the secured property. LMI provides protection to a lender to help the borrower purchase a property with a smaller deposit. It protects the lender against the risk of potential losses, in case they are unable to make home loan repayments, and the lender is unable to recover the outstanding loan amount from the sale of the security property. Home buyers have a range of options for paying the LMI cost to their lender, either paying the fee upfront, capitalizing the amount into their loan, or paying a monthly LMI fee. It provides tools, estimators, and resources to estimate, compare and consider options for a home ownership.
