Aggreko announce a proposed final dividend of 10.00 pence per share
In line with steps taken to preserve the Group's cash position through the COVID-19 pandemic, the Aggreko Board withdrew its recommendation to pay the 2019 final dividend at its AGM in April 2020 and will not be revisiting this decision. The Board is proposing a final dividend for 2020 of 10.00 pence (2019: nil). This will result in a full year dividend of 15.00 pence (2019: interim dividend of 9.38 pence) per Ordinary Share, giving dividend cover (basic EPS pre-exceptional items divided by the full year proposed dividend) of 1.5 times. This dividend proposal reflects the Board's confidence in the outlook for the business, together with the Group's strong cash flow performance and financial position. Retained earnings of the Company as at 31 December 2020 were £387 million and the majority of these earnings are distributable.

The Aggreko Board withdrew its recommendation to pay the 2019 final dividend at its AGM in April and will not be revisiting this decision. However, given its confidence that the actions that the Group has taken, together with the continued, disciplined execution of its strategy, will increase further the resilience of the business and position it well for the future, the Board has approved the payment of an interim dividend of 5 pence per share for 2020. The reduction on the prior year does not represent a change in the Group's dividend policy, but rather reflects lower current year earnings and a continued level of market uncertainty.
Aggreko announce final dividend up 3% to 18.3 pence
The Aggreko Directors are proposing a final dividend in respect of the financial year ended 31 December 2019 of 18.27 pence per share which will utilise an estimated £47 million of Shareholders' funds. It will be paid on 21 May 2020 to shareholders who are on the register of members on 24 April 2020.
