Rio Tinto Plc announced shareholders will receive 137.67 pence per share
Rio Tinto Plc have announced their 2023 interim dividend which will be equivalent to 177 US cents per share and will be paid on 21 September 2023 to Rio Tinto Limited, Rio Tinto plc and Rio Tinto plc ADR shareholders on the register at the close of business on 11 August 2023. The ex-dividend date for the 2023 interim dividend for Rio Tinto Limited, Rio Tinto plc and Rio Tinto plc ADR shareholders is 10 August 2023. Rio Tinto plc shareholders will receive 137.67 pence per share for the interim dividend and Rio Tinto Limited shareholders will receive 260.89 Australian cents per share for the interim dividend based on the applicable exchange rates on 25 July 2023. ADR holders receive dividends at the declared rate in US dollars.

Rio Tinto Plc have announced an interim ordinary dividend of 267 US cents per share
Rio Tinto Plc have announced an interim ordinary dividend of $4.3 billion, the second highest ever interim, equivalent to 267 US cents per share. The 2022 interim ordinary dividend will be paid on 22 September 2022 to holders of ordinary shares and holders of ADRs on the register at the close of business on 12 August 2022 (record date). The ex-dividend date is 11 August 2022.This represents 50% of underlying earnings, in line with shareholder returns policy, and consistent with the practice of paying out 50% on the ordinary interim dividend.
Rio Tinto announces an interim dividend, equivalent to 376 US cents per share, and the special dividend, equivalent to 185 US cents per share
The 2020 final dividend was paid on 15 April 2021 to holders of Rio Tinto plc and Rio Tinto Limited ordinary shares and Rio Tinto plc ADR holders. The 2020 final dividend, equivalent to 309 US cents per share was determined by the board on 17 February 2021. Rio Tinto plc shareholders received 221.86 pence per share and Rio Tinto Limited shareholders received 397.48 Australian cents per share, based on the applicable exchange rates on 16 February 2021. Rio Tinto plc ADR holders received 309 US cents per ADR for the final dividend.

Rio Tinto has announced returns to shareholders of $3.5 billion including interim dividend of $2.5 billion and special dividend of $1.0 billion and a 151.1 dividend per share (US cent), a 19% increase from 127.0.
